Every Pupil Will Succeed

Parent-Teacher Association

**Welcome to the New PTA at Cardigan Secondary School!**

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, our school has established a rejuvenated Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) dedicated to supporting our students and enhancing their educational experience. At Cardigan Secondary School, our welcoming and energetic PTA is passionate about fundraising to provide essential resources and opportunities for our pupils. However, our mission extends beyond just raising funds.

When children transition to secondary school, parents and carers often feel less involved in the school community. This can be due to the shift away from primary school routines, where parents frequently met at the school gate, and because secondary school feels more like a domain for the students themselves. Joining the PTA offers a unique opportunity for parents to reconnect with the school environment, get to know the staff, and build relationships with other parents.

Our PTA is always eager to welcome new members. Organising events and activities requires a mix of creativity and manpower, so if you have ideas or are willing to lend a hand, we would be thrilled to have you join us. We hold informal and relaxed meetings as needed, often gathering at local cafes or community spaces to foster a sense of community and camaraderie among our members. There is no obligation to commit—any contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated.

If you are interested in supporting the school through the PTA, please do not hesitate to reach out. For more information, you can contact the school at swyddfa@aberteifi.ceredigion.sch.uk or phone (01239) 612670.

We look forward to meeting you soon!
